October 25 Candidates Forum at City Hall

To begin, well known resident Diane Sori's cell phone is broken--according to her!  Yet she brought it into the Auditorium and it rang about 4 times during the meeting.  Wouldn't one think that , knowing the cell phone is non-functional, one would leave it in one's vehicle or at home?

THEN, at the Oct. 26 Commission Meeting, Ms Sori's cell phone rang 2 times  during the meeting.  The Mayor was looking at my friend sitting next to me BUT it was Diane's "broken" cell phone which was ringing, not my friend's!  Advice:  Leave your non-functioning cell phone outside of the auditoorium, Diane!

Another interesting NEWS BIT:  Remember Melissa Megna, Gary Laufenberg and Jeff Green did not attend the Cooper City Civic Group's Candidates Night?  Well, they attended the Chamber of Commerce Candidates Forum BUT as quickly as it was over--they were out of there!!

Is there a reason those three and Mallozzi did not want to talk with the folks who attended the Forum?  Did they not want to answer the residents' questions?  OR, was it another case of total disrespect to the residents who attended the Forum?  And, this is how the residents will continue to be treated by them:  with no respect?  The  residents deserve respect from all City employees, especially the elected persons.  The  candidates should have given the residents an opportunity to, talk with or question, them.  Or, just plain old fashioned conversation!

Why were they so afraid to talk with the residents?  Anyone have an answer to that question?
