We all know traffic has been a headache all over but East Cooper City seems to be the worst in the last few months.
Those "singing" tires, very loud "music" or whatever it is blasting the neighbors at all hours. The mufflers with "amplifiers" to really let you know they are arriving or
leaving! Or, no mufflers at all to let you know they really, really are in your neighborhood! Let's not forget those those spiffed up motorcycles! Airplanes taking off make less noise than some of them!
Those "funny" shaped red signs with the letters S-T-O-P painted in white, guess they are invisible to most folks today. It costs money, time and effort to put those signs around our town at intersections but few drivers use them so our tax dollars have been wasted! And our lives may be, too!
And all those signs in the City's swales at roadside which say: 25 MPH, 30 MPH or 45 MPH? Or, how about those signs which say: 15 MPH SCHOOL ZONE? These are placed near schools so they do want to tell the drivers something important but somehow, some of those drivers don't know how important the message is!
Slow to 15 MPH our precious children are in the area!
Most of our City streets are narrow, two lane streets with no room on them for drivers who make a mockery of those signs and risk their lives as well as others while they are in the "mockery" mode!
Our Cooper City BSO placed on 90th Avenue the lighted sign which says: SPEED LIMIT 30 MPH---STRICTLY ENFORCED.
The Cooper City BSO is NOT joking. They mean business! The men and women of Cooper City's BSO have pulled too many dead bodies and seriously injured bodies from a wreckage to ever think lightly of those signs at roadsides in our City.
Because we KNOW our Cooper City BSO does mean business when they say "STRICTLY ENFORCED", our advice: DRIVE CAREFULLY, RESPECT AND OBEY THE SIGNS! SAVE LIVES, ONE MAY BE YOUR OWN!
