November 2 Election Day for Cooper City Commissioners

The City Commission Meeting of Tuesday, October 12 was so poorly moderated, seeminly without rhyme or reason!  The meeting dragged on and on going no where!  Accomplishing little.

The City Attorney(friend of Mayor Debby Eisinger for many years and neighbor of Commissioner Curran) was trying to get his fifteen minutes of fame all in one commission meeting!  He pushed until even Comm. de Jesus was fed up with his interventions into the business at hand.

So much wasted time because the Mayor has no sense of how to moderate a business meeting!  Wasted yakking and wasted time.

It was 9:25 PM before the Mayor finally got to the Open Public Meeting segment during which residents may speak on any issue.  That is  55 minutes late because that segment is supposed to occur at 8:30 P M.  She  does not care about the residents concerns, only her own.  By the way, her concerns were really not going to happen for her Tuesday  night or any other night.   Comm. Curran did NOT vote with the Mayor on the Charter School issue.  He voted YES this time.  I say good for him!

At every Commission Meeting we are being tested:  the residents lose!  We desperately need Commissioners sitting up there who know what they are doing and why!

A piece of political propaganda was received today.  Laufenberg, the person sending it must have a huge amount of money for a two page five color splash.  First, he NEVER attended Commission Meetings until  the Mayor decided he would run for District 1's seat. Second, he wrote that he is business savvy!  Whoops, a slip of the tongue?  I had never heard of him except in context with the Mayor's former brother-in-law's failing and ultimately bankrupt business.  Laufenberg worked for the ex-brother-in-law!

Ms. Mallozzi is running for  re-election.   I don't know why!  She has done nothing for the District in which she lives nor has she done anything for any other district except talk a good story.  We have had enough talking, we want a financially smart person sitting in that seat who knows what a Budget is, how it works, and why a business needs to have one.  Ms. Mallozzi cannot give coherent answers to those questions because all she does is ask Horacio, the Finance Director, to tell us the answer to her question.    Why can't she answer her own questions?  Because she does not know the answers, Horacio does!  It serves the Mayor well to keep her in that seat but does not serve the residents  well to keep her in that seat!

Ms. Mallozzi attends The Broward Transportation Board's Meetings and knew in January 2010 that the Broward Transportation Board was going to cancel the Cooper City Shuttle Bus in July but NEVER brought the topic up at a Commission Meeting or any other meeting so it could be discussed in public.  Why attend these meetings if you are going to sit on any information which you may learn but not share it with the residents and commissioners?

Jeff Green who is running for District 3, Neal de Jesus's seat,  did not attend Commission Meetings either until he decided to run for office.  He is another of Debby's Patsys!  If he gets elected she will not have to worry about anyone crossing her.  All will vote the way she tells them and the residents have lost out  completely!

Look at the BSO Police Benevolent Assoc. Union.  Should a Union whose members are "rent-a-cops" in Cooper City give their "endorsements" for Cooper City Commission when they don't interview the candidates?  How do they know that the three they "endorsed" are qualified to be  City Commissioners?  All the union cares about is:  what they can get from the City and the three Patsys will be certain to give it to them so they are "endorsed".

Sound fair and square?  Sound on the  up and up?  Sound logical?  Sound honest?  If you answered NO to the above then you know you get the prize because you are correct!  Remember how we got BSO in the first place...good old Debby Eisinger worked herself into a tizzy for that contract with BSO....behind the residents  backs!

So, in closing,  Debby Eisinger "endorses" Lisa Mallozzi, Gary Laufenberg and Jeff Green BUT, WAIT A MINUTE:

David Nall is a Financial CEO of a large Company and is running for District 2.  Daniel Barrett owns his successful business and is running for District 3.  Both men have extensive  business experience, knowledge of a Budget, how it works and why it is necessary in a thriving business!  They also know how to handle a payroll along with that Budget.

Commissioner John Sims has proven his business acumen by sitting on the dais and  asks  the right questions but  the City refuses to provide him with the information which he requests!  He has had extensive successful business experience and his statement is:  "The City should be operated like a business."  Ms. Mallozzi disputes that fact!  But what does she know?

We have three successful business men with great resumes who, in John Sims case, is an asset to the City, and in Mr. Nall's and Mr. Barrett's,  their business background proves they would be a huge asset to the City!

Please vote on November 2 for:  John Sims, David Nall and Daniel Barrett.  Let us put the business men to work for the residents!  not for  the mayor!

Transportation will be provided to vote:  call 954-434-1047 for Gladys.
