WHERE CAN Seniors, 60 and over, go to have a hot, delicious, nutritious lunch served to you for $1.50 donation from Monday thru Friday at 11:30 am? At the 90th Avenue Community Center!
The complete lunch may include: three bean beef chili, white rice, whole kernel corn, sl. bread, w/margerine, mixed fruit, milk.
Krabmeat salad over bed of lettuce, three bean salad, 2 sl. bread, fresh fruit-in season--orange and milk.
Liver & onionsw/brown gravy, lyonnaise potatoes, peas, sl. bread, w/margerine, oatmeal raisin cookie and milk.
The variety of meats and fish, vegetables and potatoes or rice are many. There is a different menu every day of the month designed by Ann Chickowski, RD, LDN. A printed menu is published each month so you can decide which day you want to eat at the center or you may decide to eat there every day and enjoy the company of all the other folks.
You must order your lunch the day prior to eating. For example, if you decide to have lunch at the Center on Wednesday, you must call: Sandy Miller at 954-434-4300, Extension 254, on Tuesday to order your lunch. You would call on Friday to order Monday's lunch.
Go to the Community Center, pick up a copy of the February Menu, decide which day you wish to eat at the center and give Sandy Miller a call to order. This Blogger can assure you will feel very welcome by everyone at the Community Center.
