Cooper City Residents do NOT return any phone call to Area Code 809

A T & T provided the following information:

The 809  AREA CODE is located in the Dominican Republic.  To return a call to that area code will cost you $2,495 per minute!

The SCAM is to leave a message on your phone telling you a relative is ill, been arrested or died and for you to return the call to the 809 area code plus their number for further information.

OR they will tell you that you have won a wonderful prize!

If you call from the United States you will be charged the $2,495 per minute and you know they will keep you on that line as long as possible.

If you make the call, then receive the outrageous bill from A T & T or your carrier, your complaint will not be considered by your carrier because you DID MAKE THE CALL so you will have to fend for yourself with the SCAMMERS in the Dominican Republic.  Not an easy task!

So, be very careful when returning a phone call but DO NOT CALL AREA CODE 809  and be scammed!
