Commission Meeting, Tuesday, May 25, at 6 PM at City Hall. We ask everyone to attend and, those who wish to speak, ask questions about the fire truck, the Budget, the planned new City Hall as well as the cameras at red lights and the planned tax increase!
There will be a Budget Workshop, exact date unknown at thi s time. We think it will be in June and will let you know as soon as we hear the exact day and time.
The Mayor announced at the last Commission Meeting that they will take all the time necessary to answer all the Commissioners questions as well as permitting the residents to ask their questions. All of you should have several questions to ask and they SHOULD answer them. The residents need to know what is happening with their tax dollars and how they are being spent and where they are being saved(and we don't mean which bank!)
and how much do they have saved? Maybe they really do not have to increase our property taxes!
With the economy in such terrible shape, residents out of work, losing their homes to foreclosure, no extra money in their pockets, and a City Government spending lavishly while our City really looks like the hind end of hard times. Where is the money going and why is our City looking so shabby and unkempt?
Every resident should be very interested in what is going on at City Hall and ask questions. If you have a question for us to ask, email it to: rwilsonatcc@cs.com. Or to Commissioner John Sims at: johnsims@bellsouth.net. You deserve honest answers about your investment in this City.
