It Is July, Cooper City Residents Do You Know What Your Mayor is Doing?

It  is hot, humid, sunny, cloudy and, No, this is not a weather report!  It is a reminder of years past when City Hall is always up to something they do not really want  the residents to know!  Many of you are out of town for the summer or on vacation.  So, says City Hall, let us sneak a few things over on the residents!

Have you seen the sign on the five acres of City owned land on Pine Island Road, across from the Cooper City Utilities water tower?  You must casually drive by some day soon because it notifies the residents that this plot of land will be  the location of the NEW FIRE DEPARTMENT BUILDING!

The residents  knew there would be a Fire Department Building constructed at that location BUT in the distant future  AFTER Monterra is pretty well built out.  When there is a need.   We are  really not ready for construction to begin until some time in the future when there are more homes and businesses are located in the area.

The Mayor  and City Administrators  have been  preparing the residents  for the 2010/2011 Budget Building Time and telling us there is NO spare money to spend and the ad valorem tax income  will be very low for  the coming year.   SO, just wait for all the sob stories they have prepared for us!
