Cooper City Publix, Pine Lake Plaza, A Smiling Story

A pleasant story for a change just to prove we have some lovely people in Cooper City!

Bill Murphy is the Manager of the above mentioned Publix.  A soft spoken and friendly gentleman but I  feel certain he can manage this large Publix!

I went grocery shopping later this afternoon, after the rain.  I have gotten so I dread grocery shopping because everything is so high and there are so many choices from which to choose.  Just my pet peeve.  However, when one drives  onto their parking lot, there is not a single employee whom you might encounter  who does not greet you with a smile and a "How are you?"  I mean not a single employee fails to give you a greeting.

I start my trip  in the Produce Department.  It always gives me such pleasure to see all the fresh fruits and vegetables in such bright, shiny and delicious order.  Tony and Dougie are Publix Produce employees whom I have known for many, many years who greet me and we always share a few words and a laugh.

Jose in the frozen foods, especially my ice cream and pizza departments, is such a pleasant young man.  There isn't a question I can ask that he doesn't find the product or answer.

I learned something very valuable about a meat product a couple weeks ago.  That is my purchase from now on!  The young lady was so pleasant to me and continues to be when she sees me.

I love to purchase my fish and shrimp at their counter:  no odor!

Never forget the Deli Department!  Those folks are so pleasant, helpful and gracious.  Have you ever tried their salsa turkey breast?  It is delicious with a kick!

As I leave the store,  today's Cashier was  Melissa H.   So helpful and pleasant.  We managed a laugh over how fast she can get those groceries through that line.  Faster than I could keep up!  The "Bag Man" offered to carry them to the car but I always decline because:  "I want to keep my arm muscles strong!"  That always gets a chuckle, especially when I "try" to show him my arm muscles!

The store is very clean, shelves are filled and one can always find what one wants and, if not, one asks an employee OR another customer for help.  That  is one way  to make a friend.
I rarely shop  at this store without meeting a friend or neighbor with whom I can chat for a while!

Aren't we lucky to have such a pleasant place to spend time and money?  I always leave that store in a much better mood  than when I drove onto their lot!   Thanks, Bill Murphy!

I bet there are other shops where you visit that you can share a pleasant story with us.  Use our COMMENTS  to tell us about  your experience.  We would enjoy hearing from you.
