Comment:
1. To remind you of the phrase "ALL LAWFUL PURPOSES"
In our Cooper City Charter. Health, Safety and welfare of Cooper City residents! Going to Tallahassee, as you have done, to "Lobby" is not in our best interests because you pay a Professional Lobbyist, Ron Book, $76,000 annually to Lobby for Cooper City. Is he really worth it? The residents are NOT made aware of just what your lobbying expenses cover and the results for the City . Nor is it ever mentioned specifically just what monies Ron Book has obtained for this City and how they are to be used! TRANSPARENCY!
2. Was an individual voice vote of the City Commission taken at the December 14 City Commission Meeting approving tonight's Workshop? If not, this Workshop should not be taking place.
3. Since the public does not know whether all travel outside Broward, Miami Dade and Palm Beach Counties is authorized in advance, it is recommended that all such travel be authorized at a City Commission Meeting via the Agenda. The residents should then know where and who is traveling and for what reason. TRANSPARENCY!
The residents have requested TRANSPARENCY in their City Government and we expect to have TRANSPARENCY in all aspects of our City Government from now on!
