Cooper City Commission Meeting Dates for September

The Cooper City Commission will  go back to its regular schedule of two meetings in September.  These will be the final meetings regarding our ad valorem tax rate--will the tax rate increase or will it remain the same as last year?

Our residents will have a huge input into their decision.  ONLY IF YOU ATTEND THESE MEETINGS AND SPEAK OUT!   So please attend the meetings.  Please let your  Commissioners know how you feel about your taxes increasing.  Your water and sewer rate will increase 2% on October 1st.  Your fire assessment/tax will increase   from $103.11 last year to $122.50 this year.  The City will collect a total of  $1,521,000.00  from this fire  tax/assessment increase!

The Meetings are:  Tuesday, September 13th at 6 P.M. and Tuesday, September 27th at 6 P.M. at the City Hall Auditorium.

Let us pack that auditorium at both meetings to recommend NO
ad valorem tax increase.  The economic times are very tough!
The City does NOT  have  to increase taxes to balance the 2010-11 Budget.  They need to tighten their belts on their spending so they will not be required to increase the ad valorem taxes!

PLEASE ATTEND THOSE MEETINGS AND SPEAK OUT OR ATTEND TO SHOW SUPPORT FOR THOSE WHO WILL SPEAK OUT!   THANK YOU!
